Flouf Factor Growth™ Tonic

This non-greasy formula is made with our patented FGF5 hair tech.

Its entire job is to nourish the scalp and improve hair resilience from root to tip so you can enjoy thicker and denser looking strands and hold onto them for longer.

If you can believe it, this might be the one thing that works harder than you do.

For best thickening results we recommend twice daily usage for a minimum of three months.

FAQs

Can I use Bouf if I take finasteride/minoxidil?

Yes, most definitely. Bouf’s technology works by supporting a healthy hair growth cycle through targeting FGF5, a natural signal involved in the hair cycle. Finasteride and minoxidil work through different mechanisms. Using Bouf alongside them may complement your existing routine.

Can I use Bouf if I have a hair transplant?

Yes, if your follicles are active, Bouf can help maintain a healthy environment for hair to thrive. Bouf products are designed to support the condition of existing hair and scalp. Always follow your healthcare provider’s post-procedure advice.

Can I use Bouf if I wear a toupee?

Bouf requires active hair follicles to be effective. If you are completely bald then unfortunately the products won't work. If you have thinning, Bouf may help maintain the condition of the hair and scalp in those areas.

Can I use Bouf if I take testosterone?

Yes, Bouf does not impact hormones. It focuses on the FGF5 pathway, which plays a role in the hair growth cycle, helping to maintain healthy-looking hair and scalp which can help counteract any negative impacts of hormones on the hair cycle.

Can I use Bouf if I take HRT of any kind?

Yes, Bouf does not impact hormones. It focuses on the FGF5 pathway, which plays a role in the hair growth cycle, helping to maintain healthy-looking hair and scalp which can help counteract any negative impacts of hormones on the hair cycle.

Can I use Bouf if I've already started losing my hair?

Yes, provided your hair follicles haven't completely died. If there is an active hair follicle then Bouf can go to work and keep it growing. The key point is to get in early and maintain all of your hair follicles in their optimal state.

How is Bouf different to minoxidil/regaine?

Minoxidil was originally developed as a blood pressure treatment and can be associated with shedding phases. Bouf focuses on targeting the FGF5 pathway, which is part of the natural hair cycle, helping to support the scalp and hair’s natural condition and support hair in its growth phase for longer. Bouf is cosmetic in nature and does not require a prescription.

Are there side effects like finasteride or minoxidil?

Bouf tonic is a cosmetic product, not a medical treatment. It’s not associated with the side effects sometimes reported with prescription treatments such as finasteride or minoxidil. As with any cosmetic product, some individuals may experience mild skin reactions. We always recommend patch testing before use.

I’m already using caffeine shampoo and it doesn't work/seems to be working a little - how is yours different?

Unfortunately, there is no strong scientific data that caffeine visibly reduces hair fallor improves hair growth. Shampoos are what we call a “rinse-off" product, they containsurfactants (like detergents) that help lift oil and grime and wash it away.

They also tend to do that with any actives. As they only stay in touch with your scalp for a short period of time and their job is to rinse things off, it is unlikely that any actives can do their best job. That’s why it's important to match your shampoo with a “leave on” product that stays on your scalp so the actives can go to work

Show me the data

There are two clinical studies that have shown the technology in Bouf showed visibly fuller, thicker-looking hair and reduced appearance of hair fall (link to clinicals).

These studies were randomised, blinded, placebo controlled clinical studies and have been published in peer reviewed dermatology journals. So, they've passed the scientific test.
